HEAVY SALAD:
Heavy Salad create a melting pot of highly melodic, psychedelic music infused with the bands eclectic love of surf rock, electro-pop, fuzzed up punk funk and cosmic gospel-tinged folk.
Formed in Manchester by Lee Mann (live bassist with The Moonlandingz), Rob Glennie on guitar and Allan Hutchison on drums, the band quickly expanded with the addition of 'The Priestesses' Ally Boo, Esther and Lucy adding their unique and soulful vocals to the mix with Oscar Remers-Tootle completing the line up on guitar / vocals /synth.
Heavy Salad have now finished work on their second LP recorded with producers Christophe Bride in Manchester and in London with Stephen Street (Blur / The Smiths). Working with cult Manchester artist Stan Chow the band released 3 brand new singles in 2022 with the album dropping in Spring 2023.
Heavy Salad works in the space between perceived reality and the abyss of your mind...
PYNCHER:
pyncher are the very best of the Manchester underground, moody and playful post punk that's begun to delight ears nationwide. This radio 6 featured outfit brings to life Ennio Morricone riffs and twangs with their new EP Chew receiving praise from NME and beyond. Having only been gigging for a year, this young band have shot themselves into the limelight of the Manchester music scene, and are starting to make a name for themselves in London as well, after being invited by Damien Hirst to play The Troubador.
HAPPY ATHLETIC:
Self-driven, Self-funded and self-deprecating. Happy Athletic is a four-piece alternative indie band formed in the north west of England. Drawing inspiration predominantly from American indie bands. Blending tear in your beer lyrics with jangly guitar riffs that propulsively drives their songcraft.
RUDE FILMS:
From Manchester. Rude Films' dreary, melancholic sound is a sonic reflection of their bleak surroundings.
TURNING JADE:
Turning Jade are a 3-piece alt-rock band based in Preston, UK. Turning Jade have performed at The Ferret at previous open mic’s and with the UCLan Music Live events, and will be supporting us in the #SaveTheFerret endeavour!
