Lancashire (Fylde Coast) based Joel Knight, sees performing as an extension of his songwriting. It’s a heart-to-heart endeavour. There is no towering judgment, or desire to correct. Only to relate. A prolific mix of intent observation and heart.
Spring 2023 saw the release of Joel’s debut EP – “Box/Job”. The songs have already received 20,000 independent streams and a live set with ‘BBC Music Introducing Lancashire’. Joel released his debut single in September 2023. With a debut album in the works, Joel is setting up for a big year.
Walking within the genre of Indie / Folk-Rock, his music is dynamic and emotionally pressing. He takes inspiration from “golden-age” acts. Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, Bruce Springsteen, along with recent breakthrough artists, like Sam Fender and Wunderhorse.
