STRANGE BONES + CALVA LOUISE

Co-Headline Tour

The Ferret, Preston

FRI 6TH AUG 2021

PLEASE NOTE: This is a RESCHEDULED SHOW - all tickets for the original show remain valid.

About the tour Strange Bones and Calva Louise say:

“We cannot wait to get back on the road, we are extremely happy to finally be able to play live and connect with everyone after so long. Calva Louise and Strange Bones decided to tour together as a show of strength that resides in the ethos and chosen family we have.”

Strange Bones:

From the murky depths of the British seaside town Blackpool, the Bentham brothers Bobby,
Will and Jack, were raised on a diet of classic punk and have been playing music together
since they were children.

With Bobby on songwriting, production and lead vocals, Will on bass, Jack on guitar and
Nathan Sanderson on drums, Strange Bones have roots from Punk, Trap, Hip-Hop and
Electronica. Their unhinged and full-throttle sound is a mix of distorted guitars and
bone-crushingly heavy sub-bass, all held together by Bobby’s venomous vocal delivery and
biting lyrics.

They have toured the UK and Europe tirelessly, with highlights including supporting Frank
Carter & The Rattlesnakes and performing at festivals such as Reading and Leeds,
Download and The Great Escape. Their uniquely ferocious and adrenaline fuelled live shows
are as experimental visually as they are sonically.

Their EP “Blitz Part 2” was independently released on April 10th 2020 and was supported by
the likes of NME, Rock Sound, Annie Mac at BBC Radio 1, John Kennedy at Radio X and
Alex Baker at Kerrang, while CLASH described the band as 'hitting harder than lightning'.

The band recently signed with the American label FRKST, an imprint of 300 Entertainment
run by Johnny Stevens, front man of the band Highly Suspect. Since then, the band has
released collaborations with Bob Vylan, Calva Louise and Death Tour. Strange Bones will be
releasing their debut album this year.

Calva Louise:

Based in Manchester, Calva Louise have been developing a sound that is entirely their own
since Jess, Alizon and Ben formed the band in London at the end of 2016.

Their songs are strongly influenced by Latin Rock as well as British and American bands,
showing ambitious songwriting and outright guitar riff hooks from Jess, futuristic fuzz bass
from Alizon and crushing hybrid drums from Ben.

They performed sold out shows across the UK and the EU, supporting world-class artists like
Highly Suspect on their European Tour (abruptly stopped in March 2020), and Albert
Hammond Jr. who said about the band: “I was just blown away by their songs and the
structure and the push and pull of their music in general”.

Calva Louise's songs, including their debut album, their two independently released EPs and
the last two singles released through the American Label FRKST - an imprint of 300
Entertainment run by Johnny Stevens, the front man of the band Highly Suspect - have
found heavy rotation across BBC Radio 1 with Jack Saunders, Huw Stephens, Annie Mac
and Abbie McCarthy, BBC6 Music with Lauren Laverne, Steve Lamacq, Shaun Keaveny and
the legendary Iggy Pop, X-posure with John Kennedy, as well as a live session at BBC
Maida Vale Studios.

Their single 'Trial' was released last October before 'Nine Lives', a song co-written by Jess
and Bobby from Strange Bones that was released on December 4th, 2020.

Calva Louise's new upcoming album produced by Bobby Bentham, will be released this year
along with an animated movie depicting the whole story of the album, created, produced and
directed by Mescalitas.
