One of our artists for Friday 6th May is the wonderful Jonny Swift.
Originating from South Cumbria, Jonny Swift has played music all of his life, being in several bands in Barrow, Lancaster and Manchester.
Now settled in the Lakes, Jonny is now a solo artist who developed and performed his own songs in 2019 on the Furness open-mic scene.
From there he released his debut album ‘DALTON DAZE’ in 2020 his 2nd album ‘Story Of Luna’ in 2021 (both available on all digital platforms).
Jonny has received both local and national radio play from CandoFM, BBC Introducing and also BBC 6 music on Steve Lamacq.
During the covid pandemic, Jonny established ‘Bags Of Love’ – a music/community project that aims to raise money for Barrow Foodbank via online albums and gigs. Altogether this has raised over £5,000 for the foodbank.
