THE ILLICITS from Blackburn, Lancashire are a 4-piece Rock Band who have recently signed to Alan McGee’s Creation 23 Label. Their electric live shows have been given accreditation up and down the country and earned them major support slots with Liam Gallagher, Primal Scream, DMA's, The Zutons and Miles Kane.
To date they have released two singles : ‘In What World’ and ‘Left Behind’ which features Sex Pistols Steve Jones and the live show favourite ‘Born Slippy’ as the double AA side.
With doors opening at 4pm, there's a stacked lineup of special guests:
GALLAHER'S GREEN:
Gallaher’s Green are a four piece UK rock band with a wide range of influences dating back to the 60s, right up to present day. Following a handful of sellout local shows the band were asked to support the Noel Gallagher signed band Proud Mary as part of their 20th anniversary tour in 2021.
CLICHÉ CULT:
Starting 2022 with a bang, their latest single was picked up by BBC Introducing, XS Manchester and Radio X, following on from that playing a line up curated by Creation’s Alan McGee. Based in Leeds, UK they are adding to an already vibrant and diverse music scene, and with their first run of live shows under their belt they are hoping to fill 2022 with new music and even bigger shows!
REILLY JAMES & THE SUMMERTONES:
An indie-pop four piece with a unique sound, merging the nostalgic sounds of 80s and 90s Indie-Pop with modern contemporary influences. This has gained them a number of support slots with some of the top rising talents in the UK including The Snuts, Deco & Thomas Headon.
MATT JOE HALL:
After departing from his much-loved, 60’s inspired group ‘Rosa’, Matt’s solo venture takes a whole new direction. Debut single ‘The Sound Of A Lost Town’ is a raw, staggering-home-drunk, football-hooligan-chanting anthem over cascading horns and a danceable bassline. Matt’s latest single ‘(Will You) Call Me Lover?’ is Pop music at it’s finest. The verses pick up where ‘The Sound Of A Lost Town’ left off, then listeners are lifted into a joyous ABBA-style chorus with layered harmonies and pulsing synths.
AARON BLINDSIDE:
Aaron Conlon-Marsden of Preston indie-rock band Blindside, brings us a solo acoustic set of originals & covers.
