Get on down for an unmissable night as Zvilnik bring their cosmic cabaret freakshow to The Ferret, alongside BROK - wielding a sonic sledgehammer with groove and grit, the old school Rock'n'Blues of BROTHER, and the Country and Americana stylings of Jackson Ward.
/\/\/\/\/\/\
ZVILNIK have been around longer than they should have but display evolutionary tenacity by changing form every time they are supposed to die. Currently a two headed beast of strings and beats.
Makers of sci-fi-surf-cabaret-alt-rock. Zvilnik are superconductors of eccentricity, abusers of electricity, wheeler-dealers of the wonderful and weird. It's music for the end times, hysterically firing a water pistol at an incoming asteroid.
/\/\/\/\/\/\
Traversing the icy wastes of Northern Britain comes BROK. A band carved in myth and forged from legends such as LOS VENCIDOS, KING CASANOVA and YUKON BILL…
BROK bring forth the ALLOY OF ROCK AND OF ROLL in a way that only these four mighty warriors can. MASSIVE beats, TWISTED arrangements BOT-SHAKING bass and SOUL-CLEAVING guitars. BROK have come to cleanse you of digital apathy with FIRE… Well, songs that are played with FIRE. Not actual fire… ALL HAIL BROK!
/\/\/\/\/\/\
BROTHER deliver a blend of electrifying rock anthems and emotionally charged blues ballads. Their sonic landscape is deeply rooted in the traditions of rock 'n' roll, yet it carries a modern vibrancy that keeps it from feeling nostalgic. Swampy blues-rock undertones give the music a rugged edge, while impassioned performances and dynamic instrumentation elevate each track.
/\/\/\/\/\/\
JACKSON WARD is a singer-songwriter inspired by the Country Music of years gone by, infusing it all with a young and fresh mindset, look and feel.

Sunday 20th July

Midlands alt-rock 4-piece Made You Look / Made You Stare bring infectious hooks, catchy melodies, and a proper shake-up from the brewing capital of England — Burton-upon-Trent.
Alsatian Eyes are a three piece post-punk outfit who met earlier this year (2025) in the smouldering cauldron of the Lancaster open mic scene. Drawn to each other by their love of all things punk and new wave, Alsatian Eyes quickly began collaborating on writing, recording and, above all, performing live at any possible opportunity. The first single (Noise) is due for release on the 31st July while the the rest of our debut album is being recorded at 6DB studios under the production and expert tutelage of Ding (AAAK/1919/The Fall/The Pixies/PJ Harvey) and with session assistance from Felix Hagan (Felix Hagan and the Family/Operation Mincemeat).
Seiza is a genre-blurring rock band on a mission to re-ignite the creative spark modern rock left behind. Seiza are here to stir the pot—with shoegaze shimmer, grunge grit, and lyrics that aren’t afraid to say something real. Seiza fuse raw emotion with inventive soundscapes and just enough weirdness to keep you on your toes.

The Lovely Eggs:
For the Lancaster-based The Lovely Eggs, being in a band is a way of life. It’s about art. It’s about creativity and expression. It’s about following your own path and doing things your own way.
Holly and David operate on their terms, spewing out music, records, art and television shows before piling in the van and tearing round the country to perform a load of live sold out shows.
The pair have been making music in Lancaster since they were teenagers at the Lancaster Music Co-op, a nonprofit organisation that offers affordable equipment, rehearsal and recording space.
Their wild and wilful independence sets themselves apart from other bands and despite having no management, booking agent, record label or publisher their album “I am Moron” shot to Number One in the Official UK Independent Charts and they continue to sell out shows across the country.
“The Lovely Eggs are not just surviving, they’re thriving” - The Guardian
“The sound of a band who’ve put their whole lives into their art” - Louder than War
With releases across the world, The Lovely Eggs have played hundreds of gigs around the UK, USA & EU. They have produced 7 albums & recorded more than 10 live sessions for BBC 6 Music & Radio 1.
With observational and often surreal lyrics, The Lovely Eggs have a powerful raw sound that creates the sonic illusion of a band twice their size. They have become known for their ferocious yet joyous live performances. Operating in a world when true authenticity is hard to find, The Lovely Eggs are one of the most exciting, innovative and genuine bands around. Welcome to their world. Welcome to Eggland.
_______________
British Birds:
Hatched in 2023 via tape loops and cheap nylon stringed guitars, Chorley-based British Birds soar from the depths of psych-tinged melancholy to the heights of disco-doused dystopia and back. From within the precariously soundproofed walls of their inconspicuous makeshift arthouse they meticulously craft their sound; dedicating themselves to the whole craft from recording, producing and releasing their records, to screenprinting their merch.
Ellie’s grab-you-and-don’t-let-you-go basslines, Mikey’s thumping drums which cut like Keith Moon’s poltergeist and Emma’s earwormy synth and sweet n shriek harmonies bolster frontman Bobby’s cathartic vocals and staunchly stylistic guitar which jangles like Harrison’s inner demon. The four-piece have impressed fans around the country and beyond during tour support slots for The Lovely Eggs, Pale Blue Eyes and The Bug Club and their 3 live sessions for BBC 6 Music’s Marc Riley.
British Birds were formed in 2023 after the closure of frontman Bobby Mambo’s DIY venue Brock n Broll HQ which hosted acts such as Burger Records’ Boytoy of New York, Salt Lake City’s Max Pain & The Groovies, Castrovalva of Leeds, Manchester-based Fruit Tones, and Hannes Ferm from Stockholm. Bobby proceeded to piece together his new space with screen printing facilities and a recording studio which is largely built around his love of analogue equipment. This place provided the anvil and hammer to British Birds’ debut LP In Search of Mr Rykyn, a self-reflective, self-made, self-released record, released in February 2024, full of swirling melody, nostalgic sensibility and unshakable melancholy.
A bountiful 2025 lies ahead for British Birds, with their first twelve-date headline tour to look forward to in Autumn, to celebrate the release of their second album Silence Daedalus, self-made and self-released as ever, and out on the 15th June 2025. 500 vinyl copies will be available via bandcamp and in select record stores across the UK.

XOX + Dan Bibby & The Aesthetic Knobs + Rockateurs + Skint
We’ve lined up four killer bands for a stacked night of alt-rock, metal, punk and grunge – and best of all? It’s completely FREE.
XOX
Alternative/metal outfit from Morecambe, XOX bring a heavy, driving sound influenced by Queens of the Stone Age and Deftones, fused with aggressive vocals and sharp societal lyricism. Formed in late 2023, they're already building a loyal local following.
Dan Bibby & The Aesthetic Knobs
Alt-rock energy at full throttle. Since 2018, this four-piece has been delivering fast tempos, loud riffs, and even louder banter. Expect big fun, big noise, and absolutely no chill.
Rockateurs
Blackpool’s own genre-blending powerhouse. Rockateurs fuse alt-rock drama with metal intensity, drawing from legends like Metallica, Evanescence, and The Cure. Atmospheric, emotional, and ready to drop their debut single La Femme Fatale.
Skint
Fresh from Preston’s underground, Skint is a raw and rowdy punk/grunge band making noise with their debut single Stop The Boats?. Their first EP lands this July—watch this space.

Lady Lazarus: "HERE. QUEER. READY FOR A BEER." Australian punk legends on European tour. FOUR PIECE FEMALE PUNK from Sydney, Australia.
Lady Lazarus is a Sydney-born, Berlin-bound punk band combining brash energy, sharp political messaging, and a DIY ethos that refuses to compromise.
Fronted by Caroline Parks (vocals), with Eva Lozanovska (guitar), Isabel Rakuljic (bass), and Julia Nienhaus (drums). Lady Lazarus channels the raw spirit of punk legends that came before them, described by critics as “a reawakening of our punk ancestors” (Happy Mag , 2024.)
Known for their unapologetic activism, Lady Lazarus doesn’t just play music—they spark movements. From handcrafting political zines to wearing DIY shirts emblazoned with bold, defiant messages, their art is a rallying cry for marginalized voices. Their inclusive approach to music has seen them champion diverse lineups and organize impactful events like LOUD WOMEN AUSTRALIA to showcase non-male voices in the scene.
Listen Twice: Music needs to move you, both physically and mentally. From heavy guitar, banging drum beats and bass that makes you move; Listen Twice take inspiration from rock, indie and punk (as well as some ska for fun).
Listen Twice offer style of songs that you can love in an instance. Add in the rather fantastic vocals of Kate and you have got a band that can fill any room and get people into the music. After all. Music is what makes the world go round.
Body Lice: Post grunge. FFO The Smashing Pumpkins, Body Lice are looking to bring a strange aesthetic to The Ferret.

Zoe's Big 30th WITH Decade And A Day, Zvilnik and Tom Turrican!
Bar legend Zoe is gonna be 30, so we're going to celebrate in style with a night of music and quite probably shots. Oh lord the shots.
So who's playing?
Well, DECADE AND A DAY are coming up from the mysterious midlands to headline with a righteous blast of pop punk/alt rock. There may be some Shrek 2 related shenanigans and a distinct possibility of crocs.
And then...?
Glad you asked. ZVILNIK are going to perform a live musical seance to channel the adventurous spirit of Nikola Tesla onto the stage. One drummer/one guitarist. Both sing. Prepare to be mocked if you believe the earth is flat - this is *science*, bitches.
Surely that's not all?
It is not! The festivities will be opened by Preston hero and man-of-the-people TOM TURRICAN who will do more with one beat up lookin' guitar than you can do with seven. Because you can't play the guitar. Don't worry, let him do it for you.

Entry is Pay What You Feel, with a minimum donation of two measly quid!

Defined By: Defined by are the new sound of the northern working classes. Lyrically, they tell the story of ‘real life’ combined with soaring Melodie’s and driving rhythms. Their latest release ‘God’s No Help’ is an example of everything that this band has to offer, and has so far has gripped the hearts of the Uk and European listeners.

ALICIA F!
A native of Lorraine (North East France), Alicia Fiorucci started her artistic journey very early with the violin and classical dance. At 12, she has a revelation with Aerosmith, it's a cataclysm that plunges her into rock. Soon, she's taking electric guitar lessons at the Villerupt School of Music.
At 19, she meets the Kingstone, a rock group with whom she first stepped on the boards as a lead singer. Between 20 and 27 years old, she is a radio host on Radio Aria Longwy and X-move in Mont-Saint-Martin, then takes singing lessons for 2 years at the Blues School of Differdange in Luxembourg. 2017 marks a turning point in her life when she meets Tony Marlow (ex- Rockin' Rebels, Betty & The Bops) at Marc Zermati (Open Market, Skydog Records) in Paris. Tony then invites her to participate in a Chuck Berry Tribute that he organizes in Balajo (Paris), so she begins to sing with him and participate in his concerts before founding her own project, ALICIA F! with Tony on guitar in September 2019.
In May 2020 a first single "My No-Generation" is released, which is now sold out. In November 2021, the debut album "Welcome to my F World" features 11 tracks and 1 cover "Cherry Bomb" by the Runaways and receives a very good media reception (Rock & Folk, Best, Vinyl & Audio and many more.)
…Second album coming in 2025!
